Virtual Cooking Class: Green Crab Bouillabaisse with Monkfish and Mussels

Join us on October 19th at 5pm for a free cooking class and Q&A on our IG Live. We’ll be making green crab bouillabaisse with monkfish and mussels and answering questions on all things green crab. In partnership with Hooked Fish Shop, you can order-ahead a discounted bundle of monkfish and mussels to be included with your green crab order.

Local Shopping List: Shops Around Bow Market/ Union Square:

Hooked Fish Shop:

  • green crabs (Free!)

  • 1-2 lbs of mussels  

  • 1-2 lbs of monkfish, cubed

Picnic and Pantry:

  • 1 garlic head

  • 1 large onion or a few small

  • olive oil

  • crusty bread

Rebel Rebel:

  • white wine 

* Rebel Rebel recommends Jajatoe’s Grenache, Roussanne and Clairette blend. Cook  with 1 cup and serve the rest with the bouillabaisse :)

Little India:

  • 1 bulb of fennel

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 carrot, chopped

  • 1 stick of celery

  • 2 cups of canned or fresh tomato 

  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 2 sprigs of thyme

  • optional: a few strands of saffron
